Lakeside Farmstead partners with local experts in wild food, Untamed Feast, to source sustainably harvested chaga, a type of fungus that grows on Alberta birch trees. After soaking in a bath of chaga tea, cheddar curds are then molded, pressed, and left to age for up to seven weeks. The resulting cheese is beautifully marbled and has a creamy texture and mild, nutty flavour. This is the world’s first chaga cheddar!
Orders must be placed by end of day Mondays for prescheduled pick-up the following week. Special order items require a minimum 2 week lead time. Pick-ups can be scheduled for Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30am to 4:30pm. All sales are final. Prices are subject to change.
